The palm and fingers are coated with durable, advanced Flex-Nitrile for excellent abrasion resistance and superior grip; this coating is also oil-proof and touch-screen compatible. National testing results give this glove a "cut protection" rating of 4. (Leather, for comparison, is rated 2 or 3, depending on the quality and thickness.) Note: Although these gloves provide more protection than leather, synthetic leather, cotton, canvas, nylon or polyester, they are not "cut proof" and won't provide protection from chainsaws, circular saws and reciprocating saw blades.
